From Spaces to Experiences: My Journey into Environmental Graphic Design
It all started with architecture—designing spaces and obsessing over details. I loved shaping the built environment, but I always found myself wondering: How do people experience these spaces? Architecture, to me, was never just about four walls—it was about the way people moved, interacted, and felt within them.
This curiosity kept growing. I wanted to do more than just design structures; I wanted to shape the way people navigate and experience them. That’s when I stumbled upon the world of User Experience Design. Diving deep into Interactive Media Management, I explored design thinking, user psychology, and the art of guiding people seamlessly through spaces. I realized that great design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about connection. It’s about creating intuitive, meaningful interactions between people and their environment.
Beyond design, my love for exploring new cities, hiking breathtaking trails, and diving into adventure sports has shaped my perspective. Every place tells a story, and every journey is an experience. I started seeing cities as layered design systems—wayfinding, signage, and visual cues all play a crucial role in how we perceive and interact with our surroundings.
Somewhere between mapping out wayfinding systems and realizing how design shapes human experiences, I found my true passion — Environmental Graphic Design!
It brings together everything I love — architecture, UX, and storytelling — to create spaces that are intuitive, engaging, and memorable. Now, I’m excited to bring that energy to HCMA, designing environments that don’t just look great but feel right!
Portfolio of Work
Here are selected projects from my portfolio, showcasing my work across architecture, professional practice, and post-graduate studies in Interactive Media Management. Each project highlights the diverse skill set I’ve developed—perfectly aligning with the requirements of this role.

Architectural Professional Experience
2019-2023
This highlights my expertise in auditing existing sites, needs assessment, developing design strategies, designing wayfinding & signage systems, supergraphics, developing fabrication-ready artwork, coordinating with vendors, preparing tender documents, and conducting site/shop visits.

Why HCMA? & Why me?
One of the things I admire most about HCMA’s interdisciplinary approach is its unwavering focus on people. Every project, regardless of demographic or psychographic differences, is designed to foster inclusion and create meaningful, personal connections to a place—an approach that resonates deeply with my own design philosophy.
Having worked across disciplines, from architecture to user experience, I am eager to bring together my diverse expertise and continue growing in the field of Environmental Graphic Design. My curiosity drives me to explore new ways of enhancing spatial experiences, and I’m excited about the opportunity to learn and contribute within such a collaborative, impact-driven environment like HCMA.
P.S. The image on the right is my current workspace, where I actively try to incorporate HCMA’s frameworks into my design approach.

Staying Inspired: Engaging with the Design Community
I am always eager to grow and evolve as a designer, which is why I actively engage with the design community by attending industry events, workshops, and exhibitions. Staying connected allows me to explore emerging trends, gain fresh perspectives, and continuously refine my approach to design. I believe that learning is a lifelong process, and immersing myself in these spaces helps me push creative boundaries and stay ahead in an ever-evolving field.
